Bandana tag duo....

Here is my final bandana Technique tag duo. This is very addictive, I could not stop doodling!! This was my favorite............. done on tags with a dye based background then stamped designs with staz-on and used black gelly roll glaze and white gelly roll pens to doodle! Then glossed the whole thing with gel medium..FUN,FUN,FUN. This is heading out in the mail to the ccswaps group..bye bye bandana..........

ATC Beeswax fun

These are a few beeswax ATC's made for a swap on one of my YAHOO groups. The neat thing about the beeswax is the way it changes the whole look of the papers! It is like a mystery until you add the beeswax. I did glue all the papers down first, then added the beeswax with my clover iron (LOVE IT! ). Napkins work great and so does tinted and patterned vellum.
Love this technique!

Row houses ala Cathee

These were so fun to make and I really enjoyed coming up with the sayings on them. I cut up an old book and had a blast..I call it the re-words, words recycled!I know,I know not to clever,a journalist I am not an Artist I AM! These are going out to Trish Bayley for a swap..bye bye houses...to England you go!

In my dreams

An altered book I am in the middle
of working on as the muse hits!
The story begins..a dream.
Page 2, the dream on the wing of a butterfly.

Pg 3&4 The dream is a memory.

Had fun using a transparency that I have had for a while.Colored the back of it with alcohol inks then applied it to the board with gel medium. I always love the look of gel glossy!

Lady of the summer

I have been busy finishing some pieces I began last week

Summer forever

This feels like a picture of eternal summer and the way life in summer seems to be suspended in a breeze. It always amazes me that summer sneaks in and then is there in full bloom ,how life is like that so often! I want summer to last forever , of course until it is to hot and too buggy and.. well.. I guess, I must confess, I love a season of summer and then .....whatever is next will do!

Today

Today I actually got my craft room organized! YAHOO! Now I will attempt to create something awesome to share in all it's glory. I think I have been avoiding creating because the room was so jumbled. While watching an episode of "Clean House" today , I bit the bullet and plunged in, put all my collage stuff in one bin and embellishments in another, filed paper and new stickers etc.,put my new atc's in an album and threw out junk (as we all know there was not much to throw away! HAH! My junk is my treasure!).

New Year New Thoughts

Reflection is one thing I do too much of, so am going to do my best to live this year with my focus ahead and not in the rear view mirror. Seems I need to go forward and stop thinking things are always clearer in the past. I embrace the new and out with the old, AMEN! Happy New Year to all!
