intentional journaling

really trying to be intentional about my art journaling. so have taken the day to really study faces and learn some new techniques and improve my skills..it wont happen until I actually do it so I am intentionally going to work on it daily and post my [progress! anyone else up to the challenge...blog along.

My Precious Gran babies came for a brief visit and they have grown by leaps and bounds this year. Such amazing little ones with hearts of gold!

Nature amazes me

Took a trip up to Blue Ridge GA and found nature exhilarating in its most minute form and was amazed at the pattrens

She is a painted lady for sure! loved using brighter colors than I am used to. I just need more practice. That is why I love my art journal, trial and error,,,,

new girl in the works

Seem to still be attracted to the blue green shades, birds and butterflies. Oh well I am just going to go with the flow. My first step was to just glue it all down- lots of paper scraps on my desk as you can see on the next photo- spatter on acrylic paint and spray some dye inks-then take my stabilo black pencil and sketch in her face..

Step one-you have to be brave and cover up some of your pretty colors or ephemera ...BRAVELY PAINT...
