Altered book in the works

Working on an altered Christmas book for fellow artist Michelle at nook and cranny...adore her work,...this is a labor of joy for an art friend that will cherish my creation! Can not wait to swap it and see what she has created! Each page will hold a treasure for her to use!

Shabby Brush

 Had alot of fun creating this altered brush for the 7th anniversary of one of my yahoo groups...Paper traders. The thing I have enjoyed most about these trading groups on yahoo is that they stretch me to try things I would never dream of trying. It is the best thing I have ever done to become a more rounded mixed media artist. If you have never tried a group swap DO IT! You will meet likeminded people,create,receive amazing swap gifts and treasures from other artists, and really stretch your wings.

Little shout out to my sweet hubby whom I have been on a journey with for 38 years...34 of those as man and wife!

I am fearfully and wonderfully made ,and loved without condition by a God who gave his Son for me! GRATEFUL.

New Life.

New life.------------------This is in memory of all those who have passed in my life,remembering they have new life in Christ!  I used strips of pages from old books at the bottom and added words that remind me of the life altering effects of those with Alzheimers.As you may know that is what I do for a living. I am a program director of an Alzheimers Day center-also providing counseling for families of Dementia patients. Daily I see the devastating effects of this incurable disease,yet I still have hope,hope in a cure and hope in the Salvation I have in Christ. New Life.That gives me hope,I pray as you read this and if you are struggling you will know that there is hope in Him.

I had a tough week dealing with pain and finally made it through the other side...yahoo! This is a journal page that helped me express the feeling I had and where I needed to be! CALM and patient,prayerful and waiting.I even made it to a yoga class tonight and no pain! YEAH ME! thank you Lord!
