The daily creations

 Christmas creating has begun and the swap projects will start showing up here in abundance! I always overstretch myself this time of year but in the end I am happy and content to send out so many pretty things.

 Christmas in a tea cup! Was so fun to make and want to make more for friends!

Shabby Brush

 Had alot of fun creating this altered brush for the 7th anniversary of one of my yahoo groups...Paper traders. The thing I have enjoyed most about these trading groups on yahoo is that they stretch me to try things I would never dream of trying. It is the best thing I have ever done to become a more rounded mixed media artist. If you have never tried a group swap DO IT! You will meet likeminded people,create,receive amazing swap gifts and treasures from other artists, and really stretch your wings.

Fall cards

I had so much fun playing in my stash today and just creating-how often I just sit and think I have to have a plan.... nope ..no plan today just me,tape,paper and ephemera. Now I can finally send some handmade cards to friends!Seriously I think, they think I really never create anymore. I need to play more often...without a plan. Serendipity is the key word this week. I shall live the word out and report on it on Friday!

octoberfest birthday is sadly ending but!! I did get my first evening fire of the season,had great meals all over town, got spoiled rotten by my sweet hubby( and he went shopping with me!), had teaparties w sydney reese and go to see jets favorite airshow,lots of snuggles and time with Dee to just yak...all in all GREAT OCTOBER FEST BIRTHDAY for me-thanks family and friends for all the calls and cards and love...love you all ....now back to work at my really amazing job ..BLESSED that is my life right now

Just a tiny post about where I am this week. THIS IS A BIG WEEK for me professionally. Every year I host an art fest that raises money for the Alzheimer day care I work for. You see we are non profit and this is one of our big events. Last year we raised 7,000 this year I want to raise over 9..This is when I hyperventilate because we changed the whole show this year. It is a catered and ticketed event and guess what ..it is sold out. Yup 200 guests will arrive for the evening Thursday at 6 and I will be prepared. My committee is awesome and I have such amazing support from the whole art community. Artists donate their work and we silent auction it off...all of the proceeds go to our non profit day care. ALSO my amazing particpants in the day care work on art all year and it is going to be for sale ,it has been beautifully framed by local galleries.
Hilton Head and Bluffton SC ... communities are the most giving ever! Well I will report at the end of the week how things went ..oh wait no I may not.... you see I end the week with a girlfriend weekend on another coastal Island and no telling when I will get back to my post. I do know I will be with women that no matter how my week goes will nurture me and affirm me. I hope you have those kind of women friends in your life too.PRAYING we all have a great week...Cathee
